Trend to Unity VS Trend to Division

...............Back to Controversial Issue

In modern human society, the trend to unity is stronger than the trend to division. Over-emphasis of sovereignty and the administrative authority of one nationality over the other will be detrimental to unity. The societies that have already divided or are in the process of division are those that over-emphasize a limitless administrative power of one nation over other nations. The advantage of unity is obvious although the arguments against unity are also strong. Therefore, one should not over-emphasize on the arguments against unity. Even the Dalai Lama should know clearly that without alliance with the Han people, he would face the ambitious Indians who are no better than the Han people. The trend of the modern world is that unity is what will happen sooner or later. The advantage of unity overshadows its disadvantage.

Again, unity between China and Xizang (Tibet) is just an application of law of humanity based on people's aspiration. It does not rely on military occupation or administrative authority as well as a common race, religion and language. Yet this contributes to the vagueness of sovereignty as well as hence the complexity and controversy of the issue. To solve the problem peacefully, negotiations without preconditions from either side would be indispensable.
